This guy is the Jefe.
Quetzalcoatl.
Mexica
These symbols are from Tenochtitlan,
from the Mexicas, what is today
Mexico City, more or less.
San Angel, when I lived in Mexico City,
I spend sometime there.
I have been there lately, a lot of
change, nothing like it used to be.
In Coyoacan, south of Mexico City, it
was damp, I remember being always
kinda of cold.
Like the Sun never went through the
smog.
The column was a piece of a very old
wood. A colonial piece of wood.
In Coyoacan, all Coyoacan is colonial.
More or less.
A wooden mask, hanging on the wall.
When I see a piece a little bit different,
I try to memorize it, drawing is a good
way of remember it.
The best part of Ceramics is to paint
pots.
I'm always looking for designs, for
solutions, for abstractions.
These guys are amazing!
This piece is large, and obscure, like a
black smoke, is the Dead.
I never forget this piece.
The possibilities are infinite, these
people try them all.
The one on top is from Oaxaca and
the bottom one is from Colima.
